Abstract
The article examines the current state of Russian religious beliefs and traces the influence of the religious factor on everyday life in the current financial crisis. The emphasis is placed on the contradictory religious consciousness of Russians, including young people, the role of religion as a civilizational identification criterion, the level of influence of the confessional factor on the perception of the crisis, as well as the level of trust in the Church as a social institution.
