Abstract

It is affirmed that a person’s main task at the late stage of life is to withstand actively social stereotypes of «old age», which lead a person to passivity and limit his/her consciousness to a restricted sphere of everyday life. An idea is advanced that an aged person should develop his/her concepts a lit the future and should not be absorbed with his past to the detriment of the present. It is proved t at if the person reveals m the surrounding the spheres of his/her autonomy and ability to control current events and make own choices the How of his/her life would be satisfying.
