Abstract
The article analyses the political structure of ancient China and explores the main reasons for emerging of new teaching branches such as Confucianism and Moism. The article reviews the basic ideas of both teachings and determines theirs connection with the political system of the period. The research goes through a historical path of Confucianism development and analyses its current status as a basic semi-religious and ethical teaching within China and brand-image of the country in overseas regions. The cross-parallel comparison with Moism teaching is conducted and comparison with the key-ideas of Socialism teaching is made.
