Аннотация

Согласно последнему прогнозу ООН, опубликованному в 2012 г., население таких относительно небольших восточноафриканских стран, как Кения и Уганда, во второй половине нашего века превысит современное население России; Танзания достигнет этого уровня уже к 2050 г., а к концу нашего века будет превышать его более, чем вдвое. Население же Нигерии превзойдет современную численность россиян почти в 5 раз. Такой взрывообразный рост населения, несомненно, способен обернуться для этих стран и для мирового сообщества в целом крупномасштабной гуманитарной катастрофой.
