- Abstract
- India is rapidly overcoming China in population and soon may become the most populated country in the world. The article analyzes the first results of India population census hold in 2011. The territorial imbalances of the birth, death and literacy rates, sex and age pattern of population are considered in detail. Much attention is given to detection of contemporary trends in India population’s demographic indices change.
