Abstract

In her new book «The World of Mountains» Svetlana Prozhogina describes the world of mountains as it is depicted in the literature of the Maghreb countries. The mountains are characterized not only as a symbol for preservation of the «honor of the tribe», but also as a stronghold of life itself.
