- Abstract
- Relations between the USA, China and Japan largely determine the nature of the military-political situation in the Asia-Pacific region. Lately it has deteriorated and it looks like we are returning to the days of the Cold War. The difference is that formally there was a confrontation between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, and now - between the US and China. Although the American-Russian relations are not cloudless, there is a clear shift of American foreign policy towards Chinese direction.
