- Abstract
- The article reviews the status of the military conflict, which began in Syria in 2011, analyzes the main trends of the possible course of events in Syria in the medium term. The author has tried to answer the question: can the opposition forces establish peace and prevent territorial disintegration of Syria? The possible consequences of instability in Syria to neighboring Arab countries (Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq) are evaluated. In conclusion, the author presents the Russian position on the Syrian conflict.
