- I.G.Rybalkina has published a new book «The Family in Africa» (Moscow, Institute for African Studies, 2011, 238 p.). The author is well known for her monographs, articles, chapters in collective works on gender issues of the continent. In this book she explores the transformation of African family under the influence of globalization and migration, and the impact of current socio-economic crisis and the AIDS pandemic on the family structure on the continent.
