This is a report made by Mr. Melese at the “round table” devoted to relations between Russia and Ethiopia, which took place in the Institute for African studies.In recent years, bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Russia have further strengthened with increased exchanges of visits of high-level officials between the two countries. The main areas of cooperation include energy, mining, transport, agriculture, education, health, tourism and telecommunications. Today the Russian companies engaged in investment in areas of mineral exploration, heavy metals and engineering; hydroelectric & geothermal power generation; railway, manufacturing and agroprocessing.
