Аннотация

В статье рассмотрены основные параметры усилий новой администрации США по изменению иммиграционного законодательства. Основной акцент автор делает на ситуации вокруг арабо-мусульманской составляющей миграционных потоков, которая была подвергнута дискриминации администрацией Д. Трампа. Большая часть мусульман прибывает в США сегодня из стран Ближнего Востока. Это не может не отразиться на положении арабских и ближневосточных диаспор в целом. Автор отмечает нарастание политической активизации внутри сообществ американцев арабского происхождения. Они стремятся расширить своё представительство в органах законодательной власти теперь уже всех уровней. В фокусе внимания автора новая электоральная стратегия, нацеленная на сближение политических позиций и платформ общин выходцев не только из арабских, но и из других стран Ближневосточного региона (Турции, Ирана). На формировании и продвижении этой стратегии будут сосредоточены усилия руководства и активистов этих общин.
