Abstract

U.S. policy in Latin America under the administration of President Biden is still executed with traditional methods and in traditional directions for this area. Most of them were already seen in the last thirty years. Current administration also has a heritage of several programs and bills. Such projects have pronounced counter-China aims. They have a lack of representativeness. Many of them are detached from the real needs of the region. Their realization can suffer from vice-president K. Harris lack of foreign policy competence. Nevertheless, the main difference between the past and the present one lies in the degree of policies’ predictability. Same feature will characterize the U.S. - Latin America policy under the J. Biden administration.
