- Abstract
- The paper illustrates Marxist impact on evolution of social sciences in the second half of the 20th and early 21th centuries. Factors for a wide recognition and expansion of the Marxist approaches in post-WWII sociology are stated and discussed stressing certain differences in this respect between Europe and the “New World”, between European countiries, as well as fluctuatibn g popularity of verious brands of Marxism among social scientists. Specifically, works of scholars are сharacterized who introduced Marxist ideas in the new generations of sociologists, as well as contexts influencing popularity of this doctrine.Brief data are givem to show the range of sociological marxism inpact inh the sociologically leading countires and among sociologists in various continents. The paper is concludede with the statement that modern society features and retains objective background for the thnking citizens, social scientists to adhere to foundational ideaas of Karl Marx theory.
