Abstract
The problems of ethnic identification of young people are analyzed Arctic, its dependence on territorial identities; the connection between ethnic identity and national policy of Russia is outlined. Special attention is paid to the problem of territorial identities of “indigenous” and “non-indigenous " peoples. Features of territorial identities depend on the declared forms of ethnic identification. The relations of ethnic identity and national policy of the Russian Federation are outlined. The results showed that the Northern identity is important for the indigenous peoples of the North, and the regional identity is important for the Yakuts (Sakha), civil – for the Russian.
