- Abstract
- Preserving the cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of the Russian people is associated with strengthening the basic spiritual values that function in the mass consciousness. The most important catalyst for this process is historical memory, which meaningfully expresses the social experience of the Russian society. The state of historical memory and its development trends in Russian society are determined by a set of circumstances related to traditions, norms and rules of human behavior, value orientations, political and religious beliefs, and other components of individual, group, and social consciousness. The article presents the results of analyzing information about the current state of historical memory in Russian society, the dynamics of changes in historical perceptions and judgments.
