Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the attitude of parents to children who are guided by different models of parenthood. The structure of values of children and parenthood is proposed. There are three types of parental attitudes: “children – problems and risks", “children – life purpose", “children – responsibility, duty and public recognition". The article analyzes value differences in parental practices of helping children in difficult life situations. It is shown that the socio-cultural characteristics of parent groups suggest the development of differentiated approaches to support parental potential, contributing to its fuller disclosure, taking into account their needs, opportunities and lack of resources. It is concluded that traditional parents in need of correction authoritarian educational settings, joint – strengthening parental competence, delegating – in the development of parenting skills, ambiguous – the amplification of personal resources, adaptation to life and enhance vitality.
