- Abstract
- A critical analysis of the theory of institutional matrices S. G. Kirdina, according to which "civil society" is the ideology of Western civilization, not suitable for Russian society; criticized and attempted to replace the theory of "civil society" on the concept of "citizen participation". Arguments are presented in defense of the institutions of private property and economic freedom as the main factors of accelerated modernization of traditional X-societies, including the Russian one. The risks associated with the purposeful activation of collectivist ideology in Russian society and the restriction of economic freedom are considered.
