Abstract
The article criticizes quantitative methods of studying the population's claims to power, analyzes the results of qualitative interviews, and makes suggestions for improving the reliability of quantitative data. On the basis of qualitative research, problems that are significant for the population, but do not always get the proper status when using quantitative methods, are identified.
