Abstract
The article considers the processes of consolidation of power and society in Russia. Russia in the light of the “Ukrainian crisis” of 2014 Special attention is paid to the analysis of the attitude of Russians to public institutions and the activities of President Vladimir Putin. It is shown that the attitude of Russians to the government is a complex and contradictory complex. In the absence of civil consolidation and in conditions of high uncertainty in the external and internal political situation, Russian society is United only by the figure of a political leader, which at the moment is Vladimir Putin.
