Abstract
Based on the concept of "social system", the article analyzes the General and special system properties of social communities, the set of connections and interactions in them, reveals the main types and structures of social systems, their hierarchy and scale, and features. The article also considers the possibility of emergence of non-system entities and the need to take this phenomenon into account in the practice of social management.
