- Abstract
- The article analyzes the income differentiation of the population of the regions of Latvia in order to assess social and economic policies for the development of a socially oriented market economy in the country. The purpose of the article is to determine the dynamics of income changes over the past nine years (2000-2008). The authors proceed from the hypothesis that changes in the social and economic policy of the state tend to adequately affect the level and dynamics of income of the population of Latvia.
