Abstract
This article analyzes the features of the attitude of older people to things with experience. Based on the heuristic potential of the "object-centric" approach of B. Latour, the mechanism of protecting things in the daily practice of older people is identified and analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion that knowledge of age-specific organization of everyday experience, in this case, the relationship to the surrounding things, can contribute to the constructive resolution of intra-family conflicts.
