Abstract
The article analyzes the ethno-cultural and religious components of the social identity of the population of a multi-ethnic Russian region, and examines the integration possibilities of various categories of identity. Focuses on the religiosity of the population of the Republic in the aspect ratio of the confessional identification as ethno-cultural character and the actual religious practices of Orthodox believers, and the influence of religion on the values and attitudes of believers.
