Анализируется Миннесото-Техасский проект исследований усыновления: его история в контексте становления практик замещающей заботы в США; исследовательский дизайн; основные результаты, сформулированные для приёмных детей и подростков, кровных матерей и приёмных родителей, а также применительно к отношениям внутри сетей приёмного родства. Основные понятия проекта обсуждены и соотнесены с отечественной терминологией.
