- Abstract
- This paper reconstructs the early history of LAFOKI - the Laboratory of Scientific-Applied Photography and Cinematography at the Soviet/Russian Academy of Sciences. For many years, LAFOKI documented some of the most important events in academic life through film and photography. It also hired famous portrait photographers to produce a vast collection of portraits of important scientists.
