- Abstract
- Striving for compromise is considered to be the fundamental feature of the Japanese social organization. The public mood of antagonism and hostility prevailing in Russian social discourse on the verge of XIX-XX cc. seems to be the antithesis to the spirit of compromise. The first philosophical works by Nishida Kitaro (1870-1945) and V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin (1870-1924) are regarded as the particular examples of these two ideological positions.
