Abstract
The article considers the peculiarities and problems of Myanmar economic development and the factors under the influence of which these processes occur. The author shows the most important features and characteristics of the reforms as well as modern trends in the country’s economic policy in the early 21st century and its place in the world economy and international economic relations.
