- Abstract
- George Roerich (1902-1960), a prominent Russian orientalist, tibetologist, author of “Tibetan Paintings”, “The Animal Style among the Nomads of Northern Tibet”, “Trails to Inmost Asia”, “History of Central Asia”, Tibetan-Russian- English Dictionary with Sanskrit parallels. This article considers his book “The Animal Style among the Nomads of Northern Tibet”, the history of its creation and its main ideas. This book has become an important event in the world academic life and set a standard for studies in Euro-Asian history.
