Abstract
The article is concerned with revelation of the African continent significance in the territorial development of modern Christianity. Characteristic features of the global confessional space regional differentiation are analyzed in detail. Much attention is given to establishment of the trends in Christianity and Islam rivalry in sub-Saharan Africa.
