- Аннотация
В бассейнах рек Южной Азии - Ганги, Брахмапутры и Мегхны - в силу естественных причин образуются и разрушаются острова, пригодные для хозяйственной деятельности - т.н. чоры. В случаях, когда чоры появляются на пограничных реках, разделяющих Индию и Бангладеш, их принадлежность становится предметом спора. Отсутствие международно-правовых норм и межгосударственных договоренностей по поводу таких случаев приводит к односторонним действиям, провоцирующим напряженность на границе. Ход урегулирования разногласий по поводу чоров отражает общую динамику развития индийско-бангладешских отношений.
