- Abstract
Pieces of raw glass were found in the submarine excavation of Phanagoria while investigating the port construction. The archaeological context of the fi nds allows dating them back to the 3rd–4th cc. AD. The complex of elemental and isotoric analysis data makes it possible to suppose that the glass originates from the Levant, and probably, from the Southeastern Mediterranean. Assuming that, secondary workshops of Asian Bosporus used the imported semi-products, being part of the Mediterrannean system of raw glass trading.
