Abstract

The article publishes a tool which differs from all those previously found in the South Urals. Its main distinguishing feature is exceptional antiquity. On the basis of the starting material (such flint is not found in the South Urals), the artifact may be dated to the second wave of migration of prehistorical man from the Near East to Eurasia about 450–350000 years ago.
