Abstract
The article touches upon the issue of "election holiday” and ineligibility in the context of the legal guarantees of eligibility. The author compares "election holiday” and ineligibility as legal institutes, gives the classification offorms of ineligibility, evaluates the location of the mechanism of lustration in this system, and provides common advice on the development of the Russian electoral legislation in this matter.
