- Abstract
- The author shows that the revision of the cultural reputation of traditional Russian ode was due to a change of the court’s literary tastes in the early 1780s; it was sanctioned by the empress Caterine II and princess Dashkova and brought about a number of publications on the subject in the literary journal “Sobesednik Lubiteley Rossiyskogo Slova”.
